📚 What You Will Learn

Our RYA VHF Radio (SRC) course covers all key aspects of marine radio operation:

• Routine use of marine VHF radios & DSC systems

• Correct channels and communication procedures

• 📡 Distress, urgency & safety calls (Mayday, Pan-Pan, Sécurité)

• 🚨 Emergency and medical assistance procedures

• ⚓ Ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communication

• 🌍 Introduction to the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS)

• 📍 Use of EPIRB & SART emergency equipment

• 🎧 Practical use of VHF DSC radios

 

🎓 Certification

After successfully completing the course, you will take the RYA SRC exam, conducted at an RYA Recognised Training Centre.
